My favorite character of all time comes from my favorite book, Stone Fox. To me, Little Willy is a dynamic character. He is diligent in earning money to save his grandfather's farm. He is nurturing towards his sick grandfather. He is kind and respectful to his competitor, Stone Fox.
A strong character and story can teach a lesson that you can apply to your own life. After I read Stone Fox, I tried to be a little more like Little Willy in my own life. If I have a problem and am facing obstacles, I try not to give up. If I am in a challenge or race, I treat the others in the competition with respect. A character like Little Willy taught me how important those things are in life.
For this week's reading response, I'd like you to think about characters.

1. A character that really inspires me is Jamie Kelly from the series Dear Dumb Diary.

1. The character I like is Gregg from the Diary of a Whimpy Kid.

3. I learned that sometimes people will pick on you. You have to stand up to them or just ignore them. I don't like being teased or bullied so I try to stand up for myself or ignore them.

At first he didn't like the new girl, Lilly, but in the end Chester, Wilson, and Lilly end up being three peas in a pod.

This story taught me to be kind and welcoming to others, no matter if they seem weird at first.

3. I learned that you should be smart and careful when doing new things. When I play outside with my cousins I have to be careful so I don't get hurt.

ReplyDelete2. FireStar was kind and respectful to his clan leader and the clan leader's deputy [A deputy is the next cat that becomes leader when the old leader dies]. His actions lead him to be clan leader one day.
3. I learned that being kind and respectful are important things in life and that I should try to be kind and respectful whenever I can.

3. What lesson did you learn from this character? How have you used this in your own life? Im starting a"Dog Brushing" thing so I can earn money for a horse. :) My lesson was if theres something you really want you have to work hard for it..
Donavan Baster is from Donaven's word jar.He desired a collection of words.He inspired me to collect large cars.I learnd don't be greedy because somebody has something you want.Clark makes clay things they look cool ,but i'm not greedy about them.

Wiglaf was the only one who slayed a Dragon at the Academy.

ReplyDelete2. I really like Jack because he is adventurous and he never gives up on his quests. He is curious like me .
3.I learned that being curious is a good thing and I am curious and ask a lot of questions. I also learned from Jack that it is OK to try new things.
